The South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Sunday that the Miami Heat could have interest in acquiring current NBDL player Luke Jackson to help them?solve their outside shooting needs. Jackson who is currently a member of the NBDL team the Idaho Stampede, was held out of Friday’s game, after Miami started talking with the team about him. Jackson was a former number one draft pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Back problems derailed his time with Cleveland, and his option was not picked up by the team. Jackson spent last season having stints with the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Toronto Raptors, he was cut at the end of training camp in October by the Raptors. Jackson has played one game for Idaho, and scored 30 points. Ironically, Miami is looking to fill the spot occupied last year on their roster by Jason Kapono, now with Toronto. Kapono was also a former first round pick by Cleveland.
