And what a shootout it was as Josh Howard scored a career high 47 points, while on the other side of the court Utah’s Deron Williams scored a career high 41, 32 of which came in the second half.?The Mavericks?when all the smoke cleared walked away the winner as the defeated the Jazz Saturday night 125-117.

Dallas basically held the lead all game long, but with the way the shots were going down the lead was not what you would classify as secure. The Jazz cut 2 points off the lead by the end of the third quarter, but that would be Dallas final margin of victory.

Mavericks point guard Devin Harris, scored 10 points, and a career, and game high 12 assists, 3 steals, while “Old Reliable“, Jerry?Stackhouse had 10 points off the bench.

Williams, who along with power forward Carlos Boozer have carried the Jazz all season, shot 13-20 from the floor, hit 3-4 treys, and shot 12-13 from the line, with 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals.
