Trail Blazers Seeking Arena Corporate Sponsorship

One of the few – if not the last remaining – NBA teams is looking for a corporate sponsor to buy naming rights for their arena. The team? The Portland Trail Blazers. The arena? The Rose Garden. According to the Associated Press and confirmed by Trail Blazers President Larry Miller, the team and arena are looking for corporate sponsorship,The team and arena are subsidiaries of Vulcan, Inc., which is owned by team owner and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. The Blazers say that they have had preliminary discussions with local companies, as well as other regional and national corporations; it would be the first time a corporate-naming partnership has been offered at the Rose Garden since its opening in 1995.
