Celtics Waive Brandon Wallace

“Brandon We Hardly Knew Ye” (With Apologies to the late Kenneth P. O’Donnell.)?The Associated Press reported Tuesday evening that the Boston Celtics have requested wiavers on rookie forward Brandon Wallace for the purpose of granting him his unconditional release. Wallace was an undrafted free agent out of the University of South Carolina. Boston signed the 22 year old 6′9″ forward to a two year deal back in?July. he never played a minute during the regular season. Wallace had been playing for the NBDL team in Utah the Flash, averaging 12.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, in six games. Boston’s roster will be down to 13, which could mean that a move is in the works, or that Basketball Operations Chief Danny Ainge just wanted roster flexiblity.
