Duncan Has Monster Game Spurs Still Get Burned Suns Win 100-95

Future NBA Hall of Fame fixture Tim Duncan had a monster performance Monday night scoring game highs in points and rebounds, with 36/17 respectively, but it was not enough as the San Antonio Spurs lost to the Phoenix Suns 100-95. Phoenix off season acquisition, former Orlando Magic forward, turned free agent, turned Suns player Grant Hill still in the midst of his “Comeback Tour” led Phoenix with 22 points, 7 boards, 3 blocked shots, and 3 assists.
Hill who suffered through an assortment of injuries, after leaving Detroit for Orlando is thriving and healthy this year with Phoenix. Suns point guard Steve Nash had a double-double with 10 points, 10 assists, and was just 2 boards short of a triple double with 8 rebounds. Phoenix had 5 players score in double figures, and starters Shawn Marion and Raja Bell each scored 9 in the win.
The Suns broke out to a 6 point lead after the first quarter 26-20, but San Antonio cut the margin to just 1 point as Phoenix led 51-50 at the half. The Spurs who were without point guard Tony Parker for the third consecutive game, out with a balky left ankle, scored only 17 points in the third quarter as Phoenix pushed the lead back up to 74-67. San Antonio scored 28 in the fourth quarter but the Suns scored 26, and San Antonio sent the home folks unhappy for the first time this season.
Hill shot 8-12 from the floor, and a perfect 6-6 from the line, Leandro Barbosa scored 18 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals 1 assist. Amare Stoudemire scored 17 points, 6 boards, 3 blocked shots, 1 assist, 1 steal, and Boris Diaw came off the bench scoring 11 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 steal.
Duncan shot 15-25 from the field, 6-8 from the line and had 3 assists, and 1 block to go along with his season highs in points, and rebounds. Manu Ginobili scored 18 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 block, Michael Finley scored 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and Jacque Vaughn starting instead of Parker at the point scored 14 points, 4 assists, and had 2 rebounds. The win gives Phoenix an 18-7 record, while San Antonio is now 18-6.

In order for the spurs to win Duncan needs help, even though he had a great game he can not do it by him self and i think they would of won if Parker put as much work in as Duncan
