Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, right, shoots over Miami Heat center Shaquille O’Neal.

The Portland Trail Blazers, without starting power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, were a pretty decent team.  It appears that they may get even better as Jason Quick of The Oregonian is reporting that Aldridge will start tonight against the Toronto Raptors; this comes after doctors have determined that the plantar fasciitis he was sudffering from has completely healed.

The docs have also fitted Aldridge with an orthotic in his right shoe in order to better absorb the pounding the foot would take.  Aldridge appears ready to play as during practice on Tuesday, he wore out rookie Josh McRoberts; Aldridge reported no problems with the foot after the session ended.
