Howards Double-Double Leads Orlando Over Houston 97-92

Dwight Howard had a double-double, 21 points, and 11 rebounds, as the Orlando Magic rallied from a 7 point first quarter deficit to beat the Houston Rockets Wednesday 97-92. Yao Ming also had a double-double for Houston with 19 points, and a game high 17 rebounds in the loss. Houston lost Tracy McGrady for the game in the second half, as he left with a sore left knee, and without him the Rockets were not able to withstand the challenge mounted by the Magic.
Houston jumped out to a 22-15 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Orlando rallied to take a 44-40 lead at the half. Orlando pushed the lead up?to 9 at the end of the third quarter, at 71-62, but Houston rallied to stay?competitive in the final period.
Orlando had 6 players in double figures led by their center with a game high 21 points. Kenyon Dooling who has been doing a nice job coming in off the bench for the Magic, scored 15 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, Keith Bogans also had a double-double for the Magic with 14 points, 10 rebounds,1 steal. Both starting forward had 13 points each for Orlando, Hedo Turkoglu had 9 boards, 4 assists, 3 steals, and Rashard Lewis?had 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, 1 assist. Jameer Nelson had 11 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal in the win.
Yao also had 3 blocks, 2 steals, 2 assists, to go with his 19 points, 17 rebounds. Rafer Alston scored 17 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 block, Bonzi Wells also scored 17 points, 6 rebounds,?3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block. Orlando improves to a record of ?18-9, while Houston falls to 12-13.
