The Milwaukee Bucks announced Friday that veteran forward Desmond Mason will undergo surgery Saturday to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb. Mason who is in his eighth season in the NBA is in his second stint with Milwaukee having signed in the off-season as a free agent. He had spent the last two seasons playing for the New Orleans Hornets, and had also played for Seattle in his NBA career. Mason suffered the injury Wednesday night as the Bucks lost in Sacramento the Kings 102-89. The injury is expected to keep Mason sidelined for 6-8 weeks.
