Nets Sign NBDL Guard Thomas

The New Jersey Nets announced Monday that they have signed NBDL guard Billy Thomas to a contract, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Thomas who played his college ball at the University of Kansas had been playing for NBDL team the ?Colorado 14ers. Thomas appeared in 12 games averaging 14.9 points, 4.7 assists, 4.1 boards, per game. Thomas had a previous stint with New Jersey back in the 2004-2005 campaign playing in 25 games. He also played for the Washington Wizards in the 2005-2006 season appearing in 17 games, he has not played in the NBA since then. Thomas has had a well traveled career, playing among other spots, Argentina, Italy, and the Philippines.
