Spurs Sign F Williams

According to SportsTicker, the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday signed rookie forward Marcus Williams; terms of the contract were not disclosed. Selected 33rd overall from the University of Arizona in June’s draft, Williams was waived prior to the beginning of the regular season. While with the Austin Toros of the NBA’s Developmental League, Williams averaged 18.1 PPG, 5.8 RPG and 3.4 APG through nine games this season.
