McGrady Out 3-4 Games

In what has to be a major blow to the Houston Rockets’ offense, swingman Tracy McGrady may miss some time yet again with an injured left knee.? According to SportsTicker, McGrady could be out for at least one week; this information was originally on the Houston Chronicle’s website.? According to the Chronicle, McGrady had predicted he would miss a week, adding, “Right now, I’m saying a week to see how I feel.? Come in here, get a couple practices, get up and down the court.? Don’t want to rush it because we don’t want the same thing to happen again.”

McGrady had missed the second half of a December 19 loss to the Orlando Magic and didn’t play the next day against the Denver Nuggets.? However, McGrady had played in the Rockets’ last 2 games, playing 50 minutes.? As of this writing, McGrady is averaging 22.8 PPG, 4.7 RPG and a team-leading 5.1 RPG; expect guards Luther Head and swingman Bonzi Wells to receive increased playing time while McGrady is sidelined.
