Raptors Shock Spurs Win 83-73

Jason Kapono scored 15 points off the bench, and Kris Humphries had a double-double 14 points, and 11 rebounds, coming off the bench as well, as the Toronto Raptors beat the San Antonio Spurs Friday 83-73. It was only the second time this season that San Antonio has lost on their home court. The Spurs who played without sixth man Manu Ginobili were absolutely horrific from the floor shooting just 31.9 percent for the game, and having only one quarter where the total points they scored started with a crooked number.
The game as the final score indicates started out as a low scoring affair Toronto leading 19-16 after the first quarter, the Raptors though increased their lead by the half to 44-32. San Antonio made an effort to get back in the game in the third quarter, as the cut the Toronto lead by the end of the period to just 3 points, as the Raptors led 59-56. But San Antonio again lost their shooting touch in the fourth quarter, and the final margin ended at 10 points.
Kapono, a journeyman outside shooter, who signed with Toronto as a free agent shot 5-8 from the floor, 2-3 from outside the arc, and 3-4 from the line for his 15 points, he also had 4 rebounds. Humphries has come up big for Toronto numerous times this season, along with his 14 points, 11 rebounds, he had 1 assist. Jose Calderon filling in for T.J. Ford at the point scored 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, Andrea Bargnani scored 11 points, 3 blocks, 3 boards,?2 assists, 1 steal, Chris Bosh scored 10 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists.
Michael Finley led the Spurs with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal, Tim Duncan had a double-double, 16 points, a game high 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks. Tony Parker scored 15 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, and Matt Bonner had a double-double off the bench, 10 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist. Toronto is now at 16-14, while the Spurs are at 20-8.
