Tim Duncan had a monster game Sunday a double-double 24 points, 17 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal, and Tony Parker scored 24 points, with 9 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, as the San Antonio Spurs were all over the Memphis Grizzlies 111-87. Memphis started off hot, but lack of scoring in the critical second and third quarters knocked them out of this contest. The Spurs shot 51.7% from the floor for the game, when you are shooting that well, you don’t lose too often.

Memphis came out of the gates smoking determined to end their four game losing streak, and outscored the Spurs 32-22 in the first quarter. Memphis led by 12 points early in the second quarter, but San Antonio, got hot. The Spurs cut the lead to a slender 4 points, and then went on a 26-4 run ending the half and going into the third quarter. When the smoke cleared, San Antonio led at the end of 3 quarters 86-64. The Grizzlies were never a legitimate threat in the fourth quarter.

Surprisingly?San Antonio got the bulk of their points from just four players. Duncan, and Parker, of course scored 24 each, Michael Finley scored 22 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal,?Finley shot 8-12 from the floor, 5-7 from outside the arc, and 1-2 at the line.?Matt Bonner scored 18 points coming off the bench, 3 rebounds, 2 steals,?1 assist. Manu Ginobili is still out as he?sprained his left index finger, and wants it to heal before coming back to play. Ginobili played with the injury for five games, but it never had a chance to heal.

Pau Gasol led Memphis shooting 6-12 from the field 6-8 from the line for 19 points, he had 5 rebounds,?4 assists, 3 steals. Rudy Gay scored 16 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist, Darko Milicic scored 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 assists, 2 steals. Juan Carlo Navarro scored 10 points, off the bench with a team high 7 assists, 4 rebounds, in the loss. San Antonio now has a record of 21-8, Memphis is 8-22.
