Not with his offense, the man?only scored 4 points, it was his defense that won this game as K-Mart blocked 7 shots, and had 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal,?in the win.?Martin did however have 2 of his?4 points come at an opportune time, with 45 seconds left in the game sealing the win for the Nuggets.?Denver was able to outplay San Antonio at the game that the Spurs are masters of defensive intensity.??

The game was close throughout, as the two teams were tied 14 times, and the lead changed hands 20 times, but Denver really never seemed in danger of losing the game after the first quarter. The Nuggets were basically just able to stay far enough ahead to exceed the Spurs grasp. Denver led at the end of the first quarter 20-15, and had a slim 42-40 lead at the half. San Antonio cut the lead down to just 1 point at the end of the third quarter as they trailed 60-59, but Martin’s shot with 45 seconds left in the game held up, and gave Denver the win.

A.I. shot 10-18 from the floor, 1-3 from outside the arc, and a perfect 8-8 at the line for his 29 points, 3 assists, 1 steal. Carmelo Anthony was the only other Denver player to score in double figures, with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, Marcus Camby scored only 6 points, but had a game high 18 rebounds, 4 blocks 2 assists.

Spurs forward Tim Duncan had a double-double 20 points, 14 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 assists, 2 steals, he shot 7-20 from the floor, 6-10 at the line. Tony Parker also scored 20 points for San Antonio, 9 assists,?4 rebounds, 2 steals, Michael Finley scored 18 points, ?8 rebounds, 2 assists. Spurs played once again without guard Manu Ginobili who has missed the last four games with a sprained left index finger. Denver with the win is now 19-12 while the Spurs are 21-9.
