Ford Says He Will Play Again This Season

”National Post.Com” reported Friday that Toronto Raptors point guard T.J. Ford told a Toronto radio station that he feels he will be playing in the near future for the Raptors. Ford has not played since getting injured in a game against the Atlanta Hawks on December 11. Ford was injured as he broke towards the basket he was hit flush in the face by the hand of Hawks rookie forward Al Horford. Ford who has had spinal surgery, fell backwards hitting his head on the hardwood, with such force that his head bounced off the floor. Ford was wheeled out of the Hawk’s arena on a stretcher, taken to an Atlanta hospital. Thankfully Ford was not seriously injured although he did suffer a stinger. Ford told the radio station on Thursday that he was now waking up pain free and should be back to playing soon. Ford said that he did consider retiring after getting hurt, but loves the game too much to leave it.
