LeBron James and Zydrunas Ilgauskas each?had double-doubles and Daniel Gibson hit a key shot at the end of the fourth quarter as the Cleveland Cavaliers gave their home town fans a present?defeating the Sacramento Kings?97-93 Friday night. It was Cleveland’s second consecutive win having defeated the Atlanta Hawks?Wednesday night?98-94 and pulls them to within one game of the .500 mark.?

Sacramento has been playing shorthanded all season and it has gotten worse in the last week.? The Kings have played all season without their usual starting point guard Mike?Bibby, Kevin Martin has been out since the first week of December, and Wednesday “Tru Warrior” Ron?Artest had bone chips removed from his elbow which will?keep him out the lineup for the next 3-4 weeks. However?guys like John?Salmons have surfaced to at least keep?the Kings competitive. Sacramento took the?early lead, as they were up 30-21 at the end of the first quarter, but Cleveland came back to tie the game at the?half as the?two teams were deadlocked at 49-49. ?The Kings pulled ahead 73-67 at the end of the third, but Cleveland took back the lead as the began the fourth quarter with an 18-2 run. Kings just would not?quit as they trailed just 94-93 as guard Beno Udrih?(who was cut by the T-Wolves by the way) laid the ball in with just 47 seconds left. James tried a trey that missed the mark, but Anderson Varejao got the ball back, passed to Daniel Gibson who tickled the?twine with a trey of his own.

James?did not have one of his better shooting nights, 7-18 from the field, 1-6 from outside the arc, but did go 9-12 from the line for a game high 24 points,?a game high 10 assists, 8 rebounds,?a game high 5 steals, 1 block. Ilgauskas scored 14 points, grabbed a game high 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, Gibson scored 13 points, 5 assists, 1 rebound. Devin Brown also scored 13 off the bench,? 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 rebound, and Varejao?had 11 points, 4 boards, 2 steals, 2 assists, 1 block.

Salmons led the Kings as he shot 10-14 from the field, 1-2?at the line, for 22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal. Center Brad Miller had 17 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 block, Francisco Garcia scored 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists. Mikki Moore had a double-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, and?Udrih also scored 11 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds. Cleveland after the win is 16-17, the Kings are 12-19.
