Ginobili Hopes For Thursday Return

“The San Antonio Express” reported Saturday that San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili is hoping to return to action next Thursday January 10, as the Spurs host the Detroit Pistons. Ginobili missed his fifth consecutive game on Friday as the Spurs defeated the New York Knicks due to a sprained left index finger. According the report Ginobili has been fitted with a specially made splint, that does not impede his shooting ability, but makes dribbling troublesome. Ginobili is scheduled to see the doctors next Wednesday, and is hoping for clearance to begin playing then. San Antonio will face the L.A. Clippers on Sunday at the Staples Center.
