A.I. LBJ Named NBA Players Of The Week

The NBA announced on Monday that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James was named the NBA Player of the Week in the Eastern Conference, the Denver Nuggets guard Allen Iverson was the recipient of the award in the Eastern Conference for game played from Monday December 31, through Sunday January 6. ?A.I. had a monster week as he?helped Denver post a 3-0 record while attaining some pretty impressive personal stats. Iverson shot for a 53.1% from the floor, 47.1% from outside the arc, and an impressive 92.3% from the line as he averaged 33.3 points per game. The Nuggets currently occupy the top spot in the Northwest?Division with a record of 21-12.
LBJ also helped his team go 3-0 last week, and in the process get back to the .500 mark at 17-17, currently in second place in the NBA Central Division 9 games behind the Detroit Pistons. James had 2 games in which he scored 30 or more points including January 6, in which he scored 39, he also established a team record in that contest for most points scored in a quarter, with 24 in the fourth. Cleveland would end up beating the Toronto Raptors 93-90. James also had two games in which he had double-doubles. LBJ averaged 33 points, 8.3 assists, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.3 steals during the week.
