Reports Say Shaq Will Be On Shelf For A Week

The Associated Press reported Tuesday that Miami Heat center Shaquille O’Neal will be sidelined for the next week according to Heat head coach Pat Riley. As We reported Monday O’Neal traveled to Los Angeles to receive medical treatment on his injured left hip. O’Neal hurst himself while diving for a loose ball on Dember 22, and sliding into the scorers table. He has missed the last five games, and will miss Tuesday’s contest when the Heat are in Minnesota to take on the T-Wolves. Riley said his veteran center is still in L.A. and hopes that O’neal will be next week. Miami has a record of 8-26 worst mark in the Eastern Conference.
