Okay it was impressive Tuesday night when the Charlotte Bobcats defeated the visiting New Jersey Nets 115-99 despite Jason Kidd having his third consecutive triple-double. But even though New Jersey has some weapons they are still a .500 team at 17-17. But to go into the “New Garden ” in Boston, and defeat the previously 29-3 Boston Celtics 95-83 Wednesday night, now that is an accomplishment! Boston not only lost for only the fourth time this year, but only the second time at home this season. Their previous loss came at the hands of the Detroit Pistons 87-85 last month.

For the second night in a row two players led the action for Charlotte Jason Richardson scored a game high 34 points, and Gerald Wallace again had a double-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds. This time they also got a big boost off their bench in former Kentucky player Nazr Mohammed who also had a double-double with 18 points, 10 boards. Boston was without starter Ray Allen and backup center Glen “Big Baby” Davis, and both players contributions were missed.

Boston had the lead at the end of the first quarter as they has a 24-20 advantage, but the Bobcats took the lead by the half at 45-41. Charlotte never trailed in the second half as they extended their lead to 72-65 at the end of the third quarter, and Boston scored just 18 points in the fourth quarter as they suffered by far their worst loss of the season.

Richardson shot 14-22 from the floor, 2-6 from outside the arc, 4-6 at the line for his game high 34 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals. Mohammed shot 8-11 for his 18 points, along with his 10 rebounds,?he had 1 steal. Raymond Felton had another nice night 16 points, 8 assists, 4?rebounds, 1 steal, and Wallace along with his 15 points, 10 boards, had 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks.

Boston was led by Kevin Garnett who shot 8-13 from the floor, 8-9 from the line for a team high 24 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal.?Paul Pierce scored 13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1block, Rajon Rondo scored 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal. James Posey had another good game off the bench for the Green Team as he scored 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists. Charlotte has won their last 2 games and are now 13-21, Boston snapped a 9 game winning streak, they are 29-4.
