The “South Florida Sentinel” reported Wednesday that Miami Heat President of Basketball Operations and head coach Pat Riley will leave his position on the bench at the end of the season. Previously Riley had committed to staying on as bench boss through the 2009-2010 campaign. The Heat who won the NBA Championship in 2006, is all of a sudden very quickly turned into a rebuilding project. Riley he can best serve the team by concentrating all of his efforts out of the front office.
