Chris Bosh scored a game high 38 points, and grabbed a game high 14 rebounds, as the Toronto Raptors ended up winning one of the most exciting games of the NBA season, as they defeated the Portland TrailBlazers Sunday 116-109. This game was a test of wills, a roller-coaster of emotions, and the two teams left everything they had out on the court. Everything that personifies entertainment in the NBA was displayed in this game as the two teams stood toe to to for 58 minutes, before the Blazers eventually dropped.
Both of these teams had chances to put this game away, but as soon as one team would gain the upper hand, their rival would be right back at their side. Toronto took the first quarter on the slimmest of leads, 25-24, they did not gain much headway in the second quarter as they led Portland 49-47 as the teams went to their locker rooms at the half. Portland looked they were going to start to put some distance between the two teams as they led 69-63 going into the final quarter. But Toronto would not stay down as they grabbed a 93-89 lead with just 23 second left in regulation. The Blazers would have to pull off one heck of a trick to stay alive, and they did as Travis Outlaw hit a trey while the Raptors Jamario Moon fouled him on the play. Outlaw hit the shot at the line and the two teams went into overtime deadlocked at 93-93. Neither side gave an inch in the first overtime, as each team kept pace with each other, and the two teams were knotted up at 104-104 forcing another extra period. Bosh quickly hit 2 outside shots to give Toronto the early lead he would score 6 in the period, and Portland finally gave in to exhaustion.
