Utah Makes Magic Look Mortal Win 119-115

Mehmet Okur scored 29 points, while Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer each recorded double-doubles, as the Utah Jazz kind of took the Magic out of Orlando beating them Saturday night 119-115. It was the first time this season that Orlando lost two road games consecutively. Orlando fell behind 2-0 and never had the lead in this contest although they would tie the game midway through the fourth quarter. The Jazz led at the end of the first quarter 31-26, they increased the lead to 57-49, as the two teams went to their locker rooms at the half. The Magic were able to pull within 2 points numerous times in the third quarter but could get no closer as they trailed going into the final quarter 85-80. With 5:58 remaining in the game Hedo Turkoglu gave Orlando their first tie since 0-0 as he drained a trey to knot the game up at 93-93. The Jazz then went on a 6-0 run, to take a 99-93 lead, and Orlando was dead in the water.

Okur shot 10-15 from the floor, 4-5 from outside the arc, and 5-6 at the line for his 29 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist. Williams had 17 points, a game high 11 assists, 1 rebound, AK-47 was back as Andrei Kirilenko scored 16 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, Boozer had 15 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, Ronnie Brewer scored 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists. Veteran Matt Harpring had a good game off the bench, 11 points,1 rebound.

Dwight Howard registered a double-double to lead Orlando, 29 points, a game high? 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal. Rashard Lewis scored 27 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal, Maurice Evans scored 11 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal.
