The Cleveland Cavaliers announced Monday that they have extended the contract of team head coach Mike Brown. Terms of the deal have not been released. Brown who is in his third year as the head coach for Cleveland took the post before the start of the 2005-2006 NBA campaign. Cleveland went to the NBA Finals for the first time in their history last season, but were swept by the San Antonio Spurs. Brown was a former assistant coach with San Antonio, and was Associate Head Coach in Indiana under former Pacers coach Rick Carlisle. The Cavaliers won 50 games in each of the last two seasons.
