Nuggets Release Medical Update On Nene

The Denver Nuggets released a statement Tuesday that Nuggets forward Nene underwent successful surgery?Monday to have a testicular tumor removed. The tumor has been?biopsied to?determine whether it is cancerous, those results are still?not available. The tumor was first discovered last week the Nuggets team doctor Saurabh Mangalik during an examination. The 25 year old Brazilian native issued a statement through the team “I want to thank my fans, my teammates, the Nuggets organization and everyone that?s been supporting me. My victory will represent their victory as well. Thanks for being with me in this moment. I will remember all the appreciation. I thank God that we could detect this at such an early stage.” As we said when we first reported the story our thoughts, and prayers go out to Nene and his family for a full and rapid recovery.
