Bosh Scores 31, Leads Raptors To Demolition Of Kings 116-91

It can be said that while it is always a welcome sight to have a completely healthy roster, it doesn’t always equate into immediate success. Ask the Sacramento Kings; they welcomed back Kevin Martin recently, and Wednesday they also welcomed back Mike Bibby and Ron Artest to the roster. Unfortunately for the Kings, the lack of practice time showed as the Toronto Raptors blasted the Kings 116-91 at Toronto.
Turnovers hurt the Kings (they turned the ball over 20 times); the Raptors benefitted accordingly, stealing the ball 16 times. Toronto would take a 58-50 lead into halftime, thanks to some timely and accurate shooting; they would open the third quarter with a 12-4 run, upping the Raptors advantage to 70-54 with 7:36 left in the 3rd. It proceeded to go downhill from there for the Kings; Toronto would open a 23-point bulge on a 3-point play by Anthony Parker at the 4:19 mark of the third quarter.
8 points from the Kings’ Martin narrowed the gap to witihin 14 at 84-70, but Toronto would run off a 6-0 spurt, icing the game for the Raptors. Toronto was led by Chris Bosh with a near-perfect effort, scoring 31 points on 11-of-12 shooting and 9-of-10 from the free throw line; he also grabbed 9 rebounds and had 3 steals. Carlos Delfino scored 26 along with 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals from off the bench - including 5 treys, while Jose Calderon added 17 while dishing out 14 assists.
Sacramento was led by Martin from off the bench with 22 points, while Bibby scored 19 with 6 rebounds; Brad Miller chipped in with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Toronto (21-18) remains home to host the Atlanta Hawks Friday night, while Sacramento (15-22) travels to Detroit to face the Pistons - also on Friday.
