The Boston Celtics after back to back games in which they were defeated by the Washington Wizards, went back to their winning ways Wednesday night beating the Portland Trail Blazers 100-90. Celtics shooting guard Ray Allen led the attack with a game high 35 points, it was only Boston’s second win in their last?five games. Allen scored 26 points in the second half which led to the much needed victory

The two teams were knotted up at 19 points each, at the end of the first quarter, Seattle pulled slightly ahead, 45-43 at the half.?Boston would not go away quietly in this game, as they grabbed a? 63-59 lead by the end of the third quarter?and Allen led the way in the fourth as Boston outscored Portland 26-21 in the final period to win the game going away.

Allen shot 12-20 from the floor, 4-10 from outside the arc, and 7-8 at the line for his game high 35 points, 3 rebounds,?3 assists, 1 steal. Kevin Garnett?scored 26 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal, Paul Pierce scored 12 points for Boston, 8 rebounds 5 assists. Eddie House started in place of the injured Rajon Rondo out with with a lower back strain, and House scored 10 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal.

Brandon Roy once again had another great game for the Blazers shooting,?7-16 from the including 1 trey, and 708 from the line for a team high 22 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds. Travis Outlaw had a big game from the bench 17 points, 7 rebounds,?3 assists?1 block, Jarret Jack also scored 17 from the bench, 5 assists, 2 rebounds. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 16 points, 6 boards, 2 blocks. Boston is now 31-6, Portland 21-16.
