Pacers’ O’Brien: Tinsley Not Suspended

In a classic case of “he said, she said”, Indisna Pacers head coach is now claiming that point guard Jamaal Tinsley was injured before and after Wednesday’s win over the Golden State Warriors; he also added that his version of Tinsley’s absence “is the story I’m sticking with.”? However, several people (sources) familiar with the situation claim that Tinsley was “suspended” and disciplined” after an incident during the team’s film session the previous day.
Specifically, O’Brien said that he “deactivated” Tinsley.? He further added, “As an NBA coach I have the ability and the right to deactivate any player I want.? I deactivated Jamaal and Ike (Diogu).”? Tinsley practiced on Thursday and looked to be moving well; afterward, Tinsley declined to comment about the situation.?
