Jason Richardson recorded a double-double, a game high 38 points, along with a game high 14 rebounds, as the Charlotte Bobcats took down the Memphis Grizzlies Saturday night as they won in a rout 105-87. The 38 points was a season high and the most he has scored as a member of the Bobcats. Gerald Wallace scored 28 points for Charlotte who sent the fans home happy after holding the lead despite Memphis trying to make a late comeback attempt.

The Bobcats broke out to a 28-22 lead at the end of the first quarter, and led 46-41 at the half. Charlotte appeared to have the lead pretty secure as they had a 80-67 lead heading into the final period. But Memphis had another run left in them, as they scored the first 8 points of the fourth to cut the Bobcats lead down to 80-75. But Wallace hit a trey, Richardson hit 2 more, and all of a sudden Charlotte had gone on a 15-4 run. Game, set, match.

Richardson shot, 16-25 from the floor, 6-10 from outside the arc, for his game high 38 points, along with his 14 rebounds, he had 4 assists, 3 blocks. Wallace along with his 28 points, had a game high 7 steals, 7 boards, 6 assists, 1 block, Raymond Felton scored 11 points, a game high 9 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, Emeka Okafor scored 11 points as well, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 assist, 1 steal. Matt Carroll came off the bench and also scored 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist.

Memphis forward Pau Gasol shot 12-20 from the floor, 4-4 from the line for a team high 28 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists. Juan Carlos Navarro scored 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, Rudy Gay scored 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 block, 1 assist, in the loss. Charlotte is now 16-24, Memphis has a record of 11-29.
