David West had a game high 28 points, and Chris Paul and Tyson Chandler each recorded double-doubles, as the New Orleans Hornets walloped the Charlotte Bobcats Friday night 112-84.?It was the fourth straight win for the team from the “Big Easy” and none of their starters left the bench in the fourth quarter. Charlotte who has looked?impressive over the last ten days or so looked anything but impressive in this game.??

The game was competitive for the first quarter as the Hornets had a slim 26-25 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Bobcats went cold as New Orleans heated up, leading 59-40 at the end of the half. The Hornets led 90-62 at the end of the third, and the fourth quarter was extended garbage time.

West shot 13-18 from the floor, 2-3 from the line for his game high 28 points,?7 rebounds, 1 block, 1 assist. Peja Stojakovic had 5 treys, as he scored 17 points, along with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, Paul had 14 points, a game high 13 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal. Tyson Chandler scored 13 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, 1 block, Melvin Ely had a nice night off the bench, scoring 11 points, 2 boards, 1 block.

Emeka Okafor scored 13 points, for Charlotte, as he shot 6-10?from the floor,?1-2 at the line, 7 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal. Gerald Wallace scored 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, Jason Richardson also scored 12 points, 3 assists. Matt??Carroll scored 10 points, coming off the pine, 2 rebounds, 2 assists. New Orleans is now 27-12, Charlotte falls to 15-24.
