Amare Stoudemire scored a game high 28 points, leading six Phoenix Suns players in double figures, as the Phoenix Suns won easily defeating the New Jersey Nets Sunday night 116-92. Two players had double-doubles for the Suns who have not lost to the Nets in Phoenix since March 13, 1993. New Jersey who lost a n overtime game to the Los Angeles Clippers Saturday night were led by Richard Jefferson who had 24 points.

Phoenix basically controlled this game from the opening tip, as they led 35-20 at the end of the first quarter, and held a 56-45 advantage as the two teams went to their respective locker rooms at the half. The Suns led 89-73 at the end of the third quarter, the Nets were never truly a factor in the final period.

Stoudemire shot 11-16 from the floor 6-8 at the line for his 28 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals, 1 assist. Raja Bell scored 20 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, Shawn Marion scored 16 points, a game high 11 rebounds, a game high 5 steals, 2 assists. Boris Diaw scored 14 points, 10 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals, Steve Nash scored 13 points, a game high 9 assists, 3 rebounds. Leandro Barbosa came off the bench to score 12 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, in the win.

Jefferson shot 8-16 from the floor, 8-8 at the line for his 24 points, 4 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals. Sean Williams scored 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, Bostjan Nachbar came off the bench to score 12 points, 2 rebounds. Vince Carter scored 10 points, 9 boards, 6 assists, 1 steal in the loss. Phoenix improves to 28-12, New Jersey is now 18-22.
