The Denver Nuggets released a statement on Denver power forward Nene on Tuesday. Results from the biopsy performed on the tumor removed during a procedure January have tested positive for cancer. Nene who is on an?open ended leave of absence from the team had a tumor from his testicles, after it was discovered by the Nuggets team doctor earlier in the month. The statement said that the cancer appears to be confined to the growth that was removed, and that the recovery rate of this strain of cancer is very high. Also the chances of a re-occurrence are very small. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nene and his loved ones, for a full and rapid recovery.
