There Will Be A Doc In The House At All-Star Game Rivers Named To Coach East

The NBA announced on Monday that Boston Celtics coach Glen “Doc” Rivers will be the head coach of the NBA East Team at next month’s annual NBA All-Star Game. The contest will be held in New Orleans on February 17, at the New Orleans Arena. Rivers clinched the spot after the Celtics defeated the New York Knicks Monday 109-93. Boston has a league best record of 33-6, the coach is chosen based on the best winning percentage per conference through February 3. The only restriction is a coach can not be named in tow consecutive seasons which ruled out Washington’s Eddie Jordan and Phoenix coach Mike D’Antoni.
