All Nash, All Night, Suns Burn Bucks 114-105

Steve Nash again showed NBA fans that we truly are living in the “Golden Age Of The Point Guard” Tuesday night, recording a double-double, a season high 37 points, along with 10 assists, as the Phoenix Suns defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 114-105. Nash scored 15 points in the final quarter, as he and Amare Stoudemire who scored 10 of his 19 points in the period led Phoenix to the win. Stoudemire also registered a double-double as he grabbed 12 rebounds.
Phoenix sprung out to the lead at the end of the first quarter as they had a 30-24 advantage over Milwaukee, but the Bucks got hot in the second quarter as they rode shooting guard Michael Redd to grab a 62-54 lead at the half. Phoenix was able to shave 2 points off the lead, during the third as Milwaukee led 83-77 as the two teams went into the final quarter. Phoenix got within 1 point at 86-85, and then actually tied the game at 90-90 with 6:35 remaining in the game. But the Bucks again took back the lead as Royal Ivey sank a pair at the line, and then Andrew Bogut made a layup giving Milwaukee a 94-90 lead. Although the two teams traded leads over the next few minutes, the Suns would grab the lead for good as Steve Nash dished off to Stoudemire, who laid it up and in, putting Phoenix ahead at 100-99 with 3:30 left in the game. The Suns got the lead up to 106-99 before Milwaukee scored again, and the Bucks never really could muster enough for a come back.
Nash shot 13-23 from the floor, 5-9 from outside the arc, 6-7 from the line, for his game high 37 points, along with his 10 assists, he had 4 rebounds, 2 steals. Stoudemire along with his 19 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals, 1 assist, Raja Bell also scored 19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals. Shawn Marion scored 14 points, 6 boards, 1 steal, 1 block, and Grant Hill was back in the starting lineup less than two weeks after an appendectomy, scoring 8 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound, 1 steal.
Redd led Milwaukee with 28 points, but came up lacking in the fourth scoring only 2 points, going 0-3 from the floor, in the quarter he also had 5 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals. Bogut recorded a double-double, 19 points, 13 boards, 4 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, Bobby Simmons scored 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists. Charlie Villanueva had 14 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, Charlie Bell scored 11 points, 8 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals. Royal Ivey scored 10 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal. Phoenix is now at 30-12, second best record in the Association and first team in the Western Conference to attain 30 victories, the Bucks are now 16-26.
