Harpring Gets Clean Bill Of Health

The “Deseret Morning News” reported that veteran Utah Jazz swingman Matt Harpring has been given a clean bill of health following a colonoscopy, and an extensive array of other tests. Harpring who has been in the Association for 10 seasons, 6 with the Jazz, has an irritation of his digestive tract and has had problems with his upper gastro-intestinal tract. However doctors have ruled out cancer, and Crohn’s disease?and say the 31 year old player is now cleared to play unlimited minutes. I had the pleasure of covering Matt during the 2000-2001 campaign when he was with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the man is a class act. He is a plugger, someone who is not the most athletically gifted player in the NBA, but a guy who makes the most of the abilities he does have. Doctors have told Harpring that the new medication he is on is actually starting to heal his upper GI tract.
