Pargo in his sixth season in the Association and his second with the Hornets, helped his team?come back from being?down by 12 points? in?the?first quarter. New Orleans has now won six straight games, and?have won 14-16 and lead the NBA Southwest Division.

Portland had the early advantage, leading 25-13 with 1:07 left in the first quarter, but the Hornets finished the period on a 7-1 run to cut the deficit to 26-20 at the end of the quarter. The Hornets would take the lead?with 6:54 remaining in the half at 32-29 they would?never trail again in the contest. New Orleans had a 48-44 lead at the end of the first half. They extended the lead to 70-59 at the end of the third quarter, Portland was never a viable threat in the final quarter.
