Anderson Varejao #17 of the Cleveland Cavaliers lies on the floor after injuring his ankle in the game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, for the short-term, will be without the services of forward Anderson Varejao; SportsTicker reports that Varejao will undergo an MRI on his injured left ankle Monday.  Varejao was injured with 3:12 left in the third quarter in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers; he landed awkwardly on Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic’s foot on his way down.  He was assisted from the floor; X-rays following the game were deemed negative.  Varejao, prior to the injury, was averaging 7.8 PPG and 8.5 RPG.
