The Detroit Pistons seem to have the Indiana Pacers’ number this season as they have swept Indiana so far this season; Tuesday night’s game would prove to be no different as?six Pistons scored in double-digits, providing a balanced scoring attack as Detroit pulled out the victory over Indiana, 110-104 at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Indiana shot well in the first quarter, shooting 52% as they would lead 32-23 after one period; but Detroit bounced back in the second quarter with the able assistance of Rasheed Wallace.? He scored 11 points on 5-of-5 shooting in the period; Chauncey Billups made a jumper at the buzzer to end the first half to give the Pistons a 59-57 edge going into halftime.? Both teams shot very well - Detroit shot 55% to Indiana’s 52%.

Detroit led by a 83-78 margin going into the fourth quarter, but Indiana managed to remain close and cut the Pistons’ lead to 101-99 on 2 free throws by Travis Diener - starting for injured Jamaal Tinsley - with 4 minutes remaining in the game.? Detroit’s Wallace made a 3-pointer?to give the Pistons a 104-99 lead; Wallace would then block the Pacers’ Danny Granger’s layup and then Richard Hamilton would make a jumper to make it 106-99 with 3:20 to go.

Indiana trailed 108-104 and had an opportunity to close the gap in the final minute, but Wallace blocked Diener’s 3-point attempt with 31 ticks left on the clock.? Hamilton made a pair of free throws with 17.8 seconds left to ice the game for the Pistons.? Detroit, who had 6 players in double-digits, were led by Wallace with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.? Tayshaun Prince scored 17, while Hamilton added 15 with 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Indiana was led by Mike Dunleavy with 25 points - including 4 treys - 7 rebounds and 7 assists; Diener and Troy Murphy added 18 apiece - with Diener adding 3 three-pointers, while Murphy grabbed 8 boards.? Granger chipped in with 16 in a losing effort.? Detroit (32-13) returns home to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night, while Indiana (19-27) continues their homestand by hosting the Houston Rockets Friday.
