The Associated Press reported Tuesday that Boston Celtics All-Star forward Kevin Garnett will remain in civvies Tuesday night when the Celtics take on the Miami Heat. This will be the second consecutive game that the “Big Ticket” will miss, as he will be on the bench with a strained abdominal muscle. Garnett missed his first game as a member of the Celtics Sunday, as Boston lost to the Orlando Magic 96-93. The veteran forward is Boston’s second leading scorer, averaging 19.2 points per game, and leads the team in rebounding, averaging 9.9 per contest. Boston who had lost only three games in the campaign’s first two months have lost five games in the month of January. Celtics coach Doc Rivers told media members he is not sure of Garnett’s status for their game Thursday against the Dallas Mavericks.
