You can add one more team to the Jason Kidd sweepstakes as ESPN is reporting that the Denver Nuggets have expressed an interest in the New Jersey Nets point guard; Nuggets executive Mark Warkentien, as expected, did not returns any messages seeking comment.? Nuggets coach George Karl further added fuel to the fire, adding, “I haven’t had a conversation with Mark about (Kidd).”
There may be a problem in Denver obtaining Kidd: Kidd is currently making $19.7 million this season and is due to make $21.4 million next season.? Also consider that Denver is well above the salary cap (luxury tax-land).? ESPN also says that besides Denver, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers are potential suitors of Kidd.
