The Associated Press reported Wednesday that the NBA has named the participants of the NBA All-Star Rookie Challenge which will take place in New Orleans on All-Star Weekend. The game pits players who are in their second year in the Association against NBA rookies. Representing the second year players, will be Portland’s Brandon Roy, and LaMarcus Aldridge, Memphis Grizzlies’ Rudy Gay. Ronnie Brewer, and Paul Milsap from the Utah Jazz, Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, Toronto Raptors Andrea Bargnani, Cleveland Cavalier Daniel Gibson, and Lakers guard Jordan Farmer  complete the team..

The Rookie team will be represented by Kevin Durant, and Jeff Green of the Seattle Supersonics,Memphis Grizzlies guards Mike Conley Jr., and Juan Carlos Navarro. Milwaukee Bucks forward Yi Jianlian, Atlanta Hawks Al Horford, Jamario Moon of the Toronto Raptors, Luis Scola of the Houston Rockets, and New Jersey Nets big man Sean Williams, have all been named to the rookie team. Last year’s game was a blowout as the Sophomore team walloped the Rookies  155-114. It was the fifth win in a row for the Sophomores.
