Deron Williams recorded a double-double Wednesday night, scoring 22 points, and dishing off a game high 12 assists, and the Utah Jazz shot 51.2% from the floor for the game(42-82) as they handily defeated the New York Knicks 100-89. Mehmet Okur also registered a double-double for the Jazz as he scored 12 points, and grabbed 11 boards, as Utah basically dominated this game from start to finish. All five Jazz starters would end the game scoring in double figures.

New York had problems getting out of the starting blocks, as Utah would grab a 26-18 advantage at the end of the first quarter, and would have a 51-40 lead at the end of the first half. New York tried to climb back into the contest in the second half, but it was too little too late, as the Jazz led 80-68 heading into the final quarter. The Knicks were never really a factor in the fourth.

Williams shot 9-13 from the the floor, 4-7 from the line for his 22 points, along with his 12 assists, he had 2 steals, 2 rebounds. Carlos Boozer scored 17 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, Paul Milsap who was named to the  Sophomore Team in the All-Star Rookie Challenge Wednesday, came off the bench to score 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal. Okur along with his 12 points, and 11 rebounds, had 3 steals, 1 block, Andrei Kirilenko, had another nice game with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists. Ronnie Brewer who was also named to the team with Milsap Wednesday, scored 10 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks. With the win Utah improves to 28-18, the Knicks are now 14-31.
