Hornets Win Streak Ends At 9, Exterminated By Warriors 116-103

                                      
The New Orleans Hornets, in hosting the Golden State Warriors, may have taken the hosting responsibilities literally; the Warriors shot 52.3% (48% from 3-point land), while the Hornets lost their shooting touch late in the second half as Golden State left New Orleans Arena with a 116-103 victory over the Hornets.

Knicks’ Balkman Suspended

                            
In response to his flagrant foul against Los Angeles Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic last Wednesday, the NBA has suspended New York Knicks forward Renaldo Balkman one game without pay Wednesday; in addition to the suspension, Balkman was assessed a flagrant foul, penalty two, according to Stu Jackson, NBA executive vice president.
