On Friday, Seattle SuperSonics swingman Kevin Durant and Toronto Raptors Jamario Moon were named the NBA’s Rookies of the Month for January.? Durant won the Western Conference honor for the third straight month, averaging 19.4 PPG – capped by scoring 28 points in a Sonics’ loss to the Phoenix Suns on January 3.
Moon is averaging 8.0 PPG and 6.2 PPG in 29 minutes per game this season, ranking first among rookies in steals, second in rebounds and third in minutes played; Moon scored a career-high 17 points in a 99-95 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on January 19.?
