LeBron James led three Cleveland starters with double-doubles, as the Cavaliers got hot in the second half and easily defeated a depleted Los Angeles Clippers team Saturday night?98-84. James who missed?Thursday night’s loss to Seattle with a sore right ankle received a roaring ovation from the Cleveland crowd when he was introduced in the starting lineup. His ankle did not seem to slow him down at all during this contest, and Los Angeles being without Corey Maggette, and Chris?Kaman both out with the flu were no match for Cleveland.

Los Angeles actually were the aggressors in the first half, as they grabbed a 23-19 lead after the first quarter, and?had a 47-45 advantage as the two teams went to their respective locker rooms at the half. But the Cavaliers came back with a vengeance in the second half, as they took hold in the third quarter, leading 73-69 at the end of the period, and then just brutalized the Clippers in the fourth quarter outscoring them 25-15 for the easy win.

LBJ scored a game high 28 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, in the win. Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 22 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, 4 blocks, 4 assists, 1 steal, Drew Gooden was the third Cleveland starter with a double-double, scoring 14 points, grabbing 11 boards. Daniel Gibson scored 11 points coming off the bench, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block. Larry Hughes scored 10 points, 3 rebounds, 1?steal.

Clippers rookie Al Thornton once again led his team as he scored 23 points, coming in off the bench, 7 rebounds, 1 assist. Cuttino Mobley scored 19 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal, 1 assist, Tim Thomas scored 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block. Josh Powell scored 13 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block. Cleveland improves to 26-20, the Clippers are now 14-30.
