The Salt Lake City “Deseret Morning News” is reporting that Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko?says he wants to remain with the Jazz, and not to be dealt to another team before the NBA trading deadline on February 21. AK-47 says he has heard trade rumors and knows he is the subject of speculation, but if it were up to him he would be staying with Utah. This is a far different sentiment than the one Kirilenko expressed before the beginning of the NBA season. Before training camp began, Kirilenko said he did not think Jazz coach Jerry Sloan’s offense was conducive to his playing style. He also wrote on his blog that he wanted to stay in Russia, and did not want to play in the NBA during the 2007-2008 campaign. I am wondering how much?of an effect that the Jazz being on a ten game winning streak, has to do with Kirilenko re-thinking his scenarios. The Jazz had no comment on Kirilenko’s statements.
