Jazz Win Tenth Straight As Korver Helps K.O. Nuggets In O/T 118-115

The Utah Jazz are riding a ten game winning streak, after defeating the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night in overtime 118-115. Kyle Korver clinched the win by hitting 4 from the line in the last 19 seconds of O/T, Deron Williams, Mehmet Okur, and Paul Milsap all recorded double-doubles for Utah. The Jazz have not lost a game since?January 16, ironically against Denver as they lost 120-109. Utah has also won 16-18 games.

Denver took the lead at the end of the first quarter as they held a 26-23 advantage, but the Jazz got hot in the second quarter as they led the Nuggets 56-41 as the two teams reached the half. Denver came back strong in the third quarter as?they cut the lead down to six points, by the end of the period Utah? leading 78-72, the Nuggets would tie the game at 85-85 as Linas Kleiza hit a trey with 8:52 left in regulation. Denver took their first lead of the second half as Carmelo Anthony hit a trey to make it 89-87, with 7:28 left in regulation. Still the lead went back and forth with Denver grabbing a three point lead at 106-103, only to see Williams tie the game with his own three point shot with 17 seconds left to send the game to the extra period. Allen Iverson gave the Nuggets a 1 point edge as he hit 2 at the line making it 115-114, with 38 seconds left, but Korver’s 4 from the line was the difference in the game.

Deron Williams scored 29 points, a game high 11 assists, 6 rebounds in the win. Korver scored 27 points, 3 rebounds, Mehmet Okur scored 15 points, grabbed 10 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal. Matt Harpring scored 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, Paul Milsap scored 10 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals.

A.I. recorded a double-double for Denver a game high 34 points, 10 assists, 3 steals, 3 rebounds. Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, Kenyon Martin registered a double-double, 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 block.
