Suns Introduce Shaq At Press Conerence

The Phoenix Suns Thursday morning introduced their new player center Shaquille O’Neal during a press conference welcoming the future the Basketball Hall of Fame inductee to the team. O’Neal was traded from the Miami Heat to Phoenix Wednesday as the heat received forward Shawn Marion, and guard Marcus Banks in return. O’Neal passed his physical for the Suns Wednesday and told reporters that he hopes to play before the All-Star game.

O’Neal told the collective media members that he feel he can run with the greyhound quick?Phoenix offense. He said that Miami?played more of a half court game, and that’s why he did not do much running there. He says when he first heard about the trade he got excited about playing with Steve Nash,?Grant Hill, and Amare Stoudemire. He also said that the?reason he came to Phoenix was to help the team win a NBA Championship.

O?Neal has been injured since December 22, when he slid into the scorers table diving for a loose ball banging his left hip. Shaq has not played since January 21, as Miami coach Pat Riley decided to shut him down for two weeks. O?Neal will be 36 years old and is in his sixteenth season in the Association.
