Could Miller Be Next As Grizzlies Clean House?
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
With the buyout of the contract of guard Damon Stoudamire, and then the trades of Pau Gasol To Los Angeles, and Stromile Swift to New Jersey, lots of changes have been going on during the last couple of weeks for the the Memphis Grizzlies. One remaining member of the nucleus is forward Mike Miller, who knows his days as a Grizzlie could be coming to and end between now and February 21, the Association trade deadline.
The Memphis “Commercial-Appeal” reported on Friday that Miller says he is not the least bit concerned and he is not allowing it to effect his play on the court. Miller who was traded earlier in his career from the Orlando Magic to the Grizzlies says he knows the NBA is a business, and he will give his best where ever he is. Memphis General Manager Chris Wallace, told the paper, that although he is not actively trying to trade Miller, he has leveled with the player that he would not be adverse to making any deals to make his team better. Miller who will turn 27 on February 19, was traded to Memphis in the middle of the 2002-2003 campaign.
