Short Handed Heat No Match For Sixers Philadephia Wins 101-84

Andre Iguodala scored a game high 25 points, and Andre Miller added 21 of his own as the Philadelphia 76ers beat up on a depleted Miami Heat team Thursday night 101-84. The Heat who have now played back to back games without their new additions, forward Shawn Marion, and guard Marcus Banks played Philly competitively until the fourth quarter, when they seemed to just give up. It was the sixth loss in a row for Miami.
Philadelphia except for a brief stretch midway through the first quarter led the entire first half, as they had a 30-24 advantage at the end of the first quarter and were ahead 54-50 as the two teams reached the half. Miami actually took the lead as Mark Blount hit a layup, and the penalty shot on the play putting the Heat up 68-67, with 4:50 remaining in the third quarter. The Heat had a 3 point lead at 72-69, but the Sixers scored six unanswered points to close out the quarter at 75-72. Philly opened the fourth quarter with a 12-3 run, and they were up 87-75. Miami never got back into the game.
Iguodala led all scorers with 25 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks. Miller scored 21 points for the Sixers, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, Willie Green scored 14 points, 2 assists, 1 block. Thaddeus Young scored 11 points, grabbed 7 boards, 2 assists in the victory.
Dwyane Wade shot 5-17 from the floor, 9-11 from the line to lead Miami with 19 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block. Dorell Wright recorded a double-double, 16 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, Marc Blount who apparently is now the Heat’s starting center for the rest of the season also registered a double-double 15 points, 10 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal. Jason Williams scored 14 points,?5 assists,?3 rebounds. Philadelphia is now 20-30, Miami is 9-39.
